Back At Work on HMS Hood

Read Time:36 Second

Resuming work on HMS Hood, the most beautiful warship ever built. Have to get a build dock cleared for an upcoming project, and this OOB 1/700 Trumpeter Hood is my best candidate. Watched a couple of very interesting documentaries recently on Hood’s design and the most likely mechanism of her sinking – got me wanting to finish the necessary research for this model. I have a lot of good books, but the hmshood.org.uk website is invaluable.

Finished both funnel assemblies this morning – airbrushed with the hull color and handpainted the funnel tops. Lots of parts on this kit. But at least I’m not having to figure out what parts it needs and fabricate them myself.
