1/72 Lexington TBD-1 (24-05; 033)

Read Time:31 Second

After I finished the “new” George Gay T-14, I partially disassembled the old one (at left below) and repainted and re-decaled it as the one that VT-2’s commander Lt. Cdr James Brett flew during the Battle of the Coral Sea on 7-8 May 1942.

I had two sets of “T1” decals, but neither had the small dash that the several TBD-1 wrecks that were found around the Lexington in 2018 had, so I scratched that up so I’d have a “T-14”. I also added the pilot’s canopy, and a single 30mm for the rear seat gunner.
