Parker’s Curtiss P-40 Warhawk – Tiger Models

Read Time:35 Second

2017-10-07 18.52.16Got a chance to put all these modeling skills to work on a toy this week – Parker's Tiger Model P-40.  Parker collects the "anime" versions of his favorite planes, and saw the Tiger Models fighters a few weeks ago.  2017-10-07 18.48.42He already has B-17 and Lancaster models, and wanted to add these.  He insisted I paint it accurately (you should see the cockpit detail), but did the assembly himself. 2017-10-07 18.46.59

The markings are for a real aircraft, Robert T. Smith's H-81-A2 "Tomahawk" which flew with the 3rd Pursuit Squadron of the American Volunteer Group "Flying Tigers" in China in December 1941. H-81-tomahawk-rt-smith-3rd-ps-american-volunteer-group-flying-tigers-december-1941 2017-10-07 18.48.42
