Got a chance to put all these modeling skills to work on a toy this week – Parker's Tiger Model P-40. Parker collects the "anime" versions of his favorite planes, and saw the Tiger Models fighters a few weeks ago.
He already has B-17 and Lancaster models, and wanted to add these. He insisted I paint it accurately (you should see the cockpit detail), but did the assembly himself.
The markings are for a real aircraft, Robert T. Smith's H-81-A2 "Tomahawk" which flew with the 3rd Pursuit Squadron of the American Volunteer Group "Flying Tigers" in China in December 1941.
