Neptune: The Allied Invasion of Europe and the D-Day Landings – Craig L. Symonds

Read Time:24 Second

51eeT6ralnL._SX327_BO1 204 203 200_I got this book as part of a batch I wanted to have signed by the author in November at the WW II symposium, and really enjoyed it.  It focuses on the actual landing portion of Overlord, and as such goes through the history of the concept of landing on the French coast as a means of ending the war in Europe.  Lots of interesting information about the actual landings, with less on the leaders and the overall campaign.
